Introducing the Habring² Doppel 3 split-second chronograph for a Swiss watch forum (with specs and price)
Habring² has created a five piece limited edition of its Doppel 3 rattrapante for Swiss watch website Horlogerie-Suisse featuring blued steel leaf hands.
Arguably the best value proposition amongst modern split-seconds chronographs, the Habring² Doppel 3 is an improvement upon the design invented by Richard Habring while he was at IWC. Based on the Valjoux 7750, the Doppel 3 is a simple and robust rattrapante mechanism. Habring², founded by Richard and his wife Maria, makes only about 20 of these a year, and this year five pieces will form a limited edition for Swiss watch website Horlogerie-Suisse. This edition has a white dial and blued steel leaf hands, a departure from the straight hands Habring² typically uses. It’s a minor change but the aesthetic is strikingly different. With luck these hands will be found on other Habring² models in the future.
This limited edition will cost 7630 Swiss francs. And the regular edition of the Doppel 3 retails for €6750, or about US$9400. More information can be had from Habring².
