MB&F unveils HM4 Razzle Dazzle and Double Trouble

The Double Trouble on left and Razzle Dazzle on right

Just a few weeks after the Legacy Machine 1 premiere, MB&F has unveiled the Razzle Dazzle and Double Trouble, a pair of limited editions based on the Horological Machine No. 4 Thunderbolt.

Inspired by the nose art of WWII aircraft, the figures are painted by Isabelle Villa and covered with clear protective lacquer to prevent damage.

In addition to the hand painted images, the pair also have hand-applied titanium rivets on the titanium case, reminiscent of the fuselage of vintage aircraft. The watches are presented on straps made from vintage Swiss military bags, known in Paneristi parlance as “ammo” straps.

I like the sense of humour in this piece. The painted figures and rivets add to the overall aesthetic of the HM4. Each is limited to eight pieces. – SJX
