A sponsor of the champion Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team, IWC went to town in style for the 2016 Singapore Grand Prix with standing room only events featuring teammates and rivals Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg – separately of course.

More than 400 fans were waiting – one was so enthusiastic he passed out and had to be carried away – when Hamilton arrived at the IWC store in the Marina Bay Sands casino complex on Wednesday. The British driver had just arrived earlier in the day but nonetheless gamely signed autographs and answered questions, with the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun on his wrist.

The day after Rosberg turned up at the mock-up of the Mercedes AMG Petronas team garage located inside ION Orchard, a luxe mall in Singapore’s shopping district. Interestingly, Rosberg had on the new Big Pilot’s Watch with a canvas NATO strap.

With an actual Mercedes AMG GT S safety car as the centrepiece, the garage replica is open to the public until race day, September 18. It’s located on the ground level of ION Orchard at 2 Orchard Turn, Singapore 238801.
