Introducing the Undone x Peanuts Snoopy’s Surf Shack

Snoopy and the sea.

Specialising in affordable, customisable watches and frequent Snoopy editions, Hong Kong-based Undone Watches has announced a pair of Snoopy dive watches, created for Singapore retailer Watch Wonderland.

Named Snoopy’s Surf Shack, the watches are based on the Undone Aqua dive watch, and are limited to 100 pieces each. Both feature the beagle from Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts comic on the dial.

The watches share the same chunky watch case that’s 43.5mm wide and 16mm thick, with longish lugs. It’s rated to 100m, less than the typical 200m of most dive watches, including Undone’s standard models. Inside is an automatic Seiko movement with a 41-hour power reserve.

Clad in an all-white livery, the Beagle of the Deep depicts Snoopy with an old school diving helmet that’s matched with faux-vintage hour markers, although the hands are painted with mismatched white Super-Luminova. And the unidirectional bezel has a glass insert and luminous fill with black markings.

The glass back is printed with a motif that has Snoopy and his sidekick Woodstock scuba diving.

The second watch is Surf’s Up, which is pretty much self-explanatory – it’s Snoop surfing. The theme is a reference to a 1966 episode of the Peanuts animated series where Snoopy went surfing in an inflatable pool.

Finished with a granular texture, the dial is a medium blue with applied surfboard hour markers. Unlike Beagle of the Deep, this has neither a luminous dial nor hands.
