Introducing The Vacheron Constantin Malte Tourbillon Openworked Singapore Edition (With Specs And Price)

For its newly opened boutique in Singapore Vacheron Constantin has created a special edition of the Malte Tourbillon Openworked in platinum with a sleekly skeletonised movement finished with a dark grey coating.

Vacheron Constantin now has a brand new boutique in Singapore, located in the posh ION Orchard mall. For the opening of its second store the Geneva watchmaker has unveiled the Malte Tourbillon Openworked Singapore ION Orchard Boutique Exclusive, a limited edition of just three watches in platinum.

This is a variant of the Malte Tourbillon Openworked, with the same exterior dimensions: the platinum case measures 38 mm by 48.24 mm, and 12.73 mm high. A clear sapphire dial shows off the movement in its entirety, the dial being nearly imperceptible save for the cut-out for the tourbillon bridge and the frosted ring for the date at two o’clock.

Mechanically the 2790 SQ is also identical, but it has been skeletonised in a cleaner manner. Instead of the elaborate, floral engraving found on the regular production Malte skeleton tourbillon, the  open-worked bridges of the Singapore edition are finished with straight graining and a dark grey NAC coating.

While sleeker and more modern, the movement is no less finely finished than its engraved counterpart. The bridges are bevelled and polished by hand, brushed on their flanks and pearled on their undersides. Similarly careful decoration is applied to the rest of the movement, as dictated by the Geneva Seal. For comparison, here is the engraved version of the Malte tourbillon, with more detailed photos right here.

Made in a limited edition of just three pieces, the Vacheron Constantin Malte Tourbillon Openworked Singapore Edition is priced at 385,200 Singapore dollars, inclusive of 7% tax.

It is available only from the Vacheron Constantin boutique located at:

2 Orchard Turn
