Introducing the De Bethune DB25L Milky Way, the Galaxy on Your Wrist
De Bethune recreates the cosmos in miniature with blued titanium and gold.
A brilliant metallic blue sky scattered with stars is a favourite of De Bethune, with the latest being the Milky Way.
The DB25L Milky Way uses the brand’s traditional heat blued titanium for its dial, with tiny white gold spheres embedding by hand into the polished surface to represent the stars. And fine gold flakes are welded to the dial to recreate the bands of the Milky Way.
At 12 o’clock sits De Bethune’s trademark spherical moon phase, a sphere’s half blued steel and half polished steel.
The case is platinum and set with 66 baguette-cut diamonds in the case band, giving it discreet sparkle. It’s 44.6mm in diameter with the DB2105v2 movement inside. That’s a hand-wound calibre with a six day power reserve, as well as De Bethune’s proprietary silicon and white gold balance wheel.
The delta-shaped bridge and base plate have a mirror polished finish that’s extremely hard to execute, having to be perfectly smooth and flat
