Introducing the Habring² new entry-level sports watches, the Time Pilot range (with specs and pricing)

Taking inspiration from its award-winning Pilot watch, Habring² has added three new Pilot-style watches to its line-up, with choices of automatic or hand-wind movements and two new dial options.

Having carved out a niche for itself with affordable and novel timepieces, Habring² took the “Petite Aiguille” prize, given to the best watch under 7500 Swiss francs, at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2013, with its Jumping Seconds Pilot’s watch. Now Habring² has added three more watches to the Pilot line, characterised by its clean legible dials and brushed steel cases. Available as an automatic or manual wind, the new Pilot models use the A09 movement, based on the extremely reliable Valjoux 7750. The automatic version is also available with a date function at three. Besides the traditional matte black dial synonymous with a pilot’s watch, a metallic blue or grey dial is also available.

All of them have brushed steel cases with sapphire crystals and 50 m water resistance. Each case is engraved with the serial number and year of production, which runs from “01-2014” to “12-2014”. Only 12 of each model are made each year. Pricing before taxes is €2850 (~US$3950) for the time-only hand-wind, €3150 (~US$4360) for the automatic and €3550 (~US$4920) for the automatic with date. A titanium case is available for an additional €1000 (~US$1390). More details can be had on Habring²’s website.
